Understanding the Requirements

Develoop is an AI-powered Hybrid learning experience platform that revolutionises the way employees can get unskilled on the job.

This was what was conveyed in the first client meeting. Along with the client’s marketing and design team, we sat down to understand the project’s requirements – we needed a lot more clarity on what exactly we need to focus on for the project.Multiple discovery sessions with the team and research on my end helped us know what needed to be done.

I put down the initial documentation of the requirements from the meetings with the client and team. This went through multiple iterations which helped us scope out the final requirements and features of the applucation. The main task was to address the employee experience and mentor experience.

One of the first proposals made was to have an intuitive dashboard where the employee could keep track of their learning, get updates on feedback from the team, on any new courses added to their learning paths, and analytics of their performances.

Building the Dashboard and Screens

The dashboard idea was well received, so I put together a quick wireframe to better visualize the concept. The wireframes went through several iterations before the clients zeroed in on the idea that would most suitably work for employees. Post the approval of the wireframes, I even shared the first cut design version of the dashboard.

We had a constant back and forth with the client’s design team on the wireframes, the dashboard UI and the process flows they drew up. Once we had the strategy in for the flows for the various employee scenarios confirmed by the design team, I set upon working on the UI of the system. Each screen would get into multiple iterations at times due to the amount of information that needed to be displayed. With the design direction also approved, it was all about working on the visuals and ensuring they were all consistent with the brand guidelines. I acted as a communication channel (at times) between our team and the client’s team when it came to getting the visuals approved.

Project Status

The system has been developed and deployed and is currently being used by many corporates. The feedback remains encouraging and positive up to now.
